WHAT WE DO

We organise fun and creative workshops to allow people to explore their creativity, in an informal, relaxed and non-judgemental setting - so it never feels intimidating. 

 

We show participants varied ideas and techniques to awaken the creative mind and show how much we benefit mentally - simply from the process of making artwork.

HOW IT HELPS

When we engage in the process of producing art - whether creating or observing it, it reduces the stress hormone cortisol, alleviating anxiety. It also releases feel-good hormones endorphins, elevating our mood and helping to combat stress and pain.

 

Connection with others in the group can make people feel less isolated and more connected. Making art is naturally calming - the mindful concentration during each class demonstrates how immersing yourself in something creative can bring peace of mind. By producing art we enjoy a sense of fulfilment, which makes us feel more positive, well-rounded.

FREEDOM TO EXPRESS

Scribble Arts is passionate about giving participants freedom to explore their imagination in their own way, while at the same time, also gently nudging participants to try out new techniques and ideas.

There is no right or wrong in art - unlike in other aspects of life. Being good at art is not about drawing a perfect picture - lessons are intended to show anything goes and it’s the process that counts and brings us joy.

Participants are encouraged to think outside the box and we support them to have the confidence to do things in their own way - so they can find out what it is that they enjoy and potentially take those interests further themselves - giving them the long-term benefits of having creativity in their lives.
